Business days = Mon–Fri (excludes weekends only). Working days = Mon–Fri minus public/national holidays. For contract timelines, "business days" usually means weekdays only. For payroll and leave calculations, "working days" typically excludes holidays too. Always clarify which definition applies in your context.
This calculator includes only national gazetted holidays applicable across India. State-specific holidays (e.g., Onam in Kerala, Pongal in Tamil Nadu, Durga Puja in West Bengal) are NOT included as they vary by state. Add state holidays manually if needed for accurate regional calculations.
